Paris, Londres, Nova York são cidades que se tornaram icônicas pela representação que tiveram nos cinemas e nas séries de TV. São Paulo está seguindo o mesmo caminho e se tornando uma cidade audiovisual requisitada por produções brasileiras e estrangeiras.

A constatação é da São Paulo Film Commission, que completa em maio três anos de operação. De lá pra cá, 2,8 mil obras audiovisuais rodaram na cidade, gerando mais de 65 mil postos de trabalho e uma movimentação financeira de pelo menos R$ 1,3 bilhão. Por ano, a cidade recebe cerca de mil produções (entre filmes, séries e publicidades) em mais de três mil diárias de filmagens.

Entre os formatos, a publicidade ocupa o primeiro lugar com 1.384 obras. Depois vem o curta-metragem, com 359; programa de TV, com 190; documentário, com 161; série, com 141; e longa-metragem, com 102.

Entre as locações com mais obras filmadas estão Parque Ibirapuera, com 151 obras filmadas; a Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, com 90; o Viaduto do Chá, com 89; a Praça Roosevelt, com 83 e, por fim, a Avenida Paulista, com 67.

Vídeo-campanha

Na esteira da comemoração, a São Paulo Film Commission promove o lançamento de uma campanha que retrata as potencialidades audiovisuais, econômicas, turísticas e culturais da cidade, além de sintetizar os dados contabilizados pela área da Spcine. Ele é o destaque do estande que a Spcine divide com a Cinema do Brasil no Festival de Cannes. A divulgação ganha amplitude nos canais de comunicação da empresa paulistana. Confira o vídeo aqui.  

Reconhecimento internacional

A procura por São Paulo é tão intensa que já transformou o departamento na maior film commission do país. Dentro do continente, já figura como a segunda maior da América Latina, atrás apenas da Cidade do México. 

A prova mais recente foi a visita de Keanu Reeves a São Paulo. O ator está negociando filmar sua nova série em terras paulistanas. Ele desembarcou na cidade em abril, a partir de uma articulação feita pela São Paulo Film Commission,  para se reunir com o prefeito Bruno Covas, o secretário municipal de Cultura, Alê Youssef, e a diretora-presidente da Spcine, Laís Bodanzky.

Outro destaque do trabalho de internacionalização é a presença da Spcine no Marché du Film, no Festival de Cannes. O objetivo é dar novos passos para intensificar a atuação da São Paulo Film Commission no mercado externo. A diretora-presidente Laís Bodanzky vai se reunir com organismos internacionais para divulgar a metrópole paulista como pólo audiovisual para o mundo. 

O departamento atendeu cerca de 40 produções de outras partes do mundo, entre séries, longas-metragens, documentários, programas de TV e publicidades.

A primeira gravação deste porte foi a série Sense8, da Netflix, que usou a Parada de Orgulho LGBT, considerada uma das maiores do mundo, como cenário de gravação.

Tecnologia e interatividade

A São Paulo Film Commission é a única no país a disponibilizar um catálogo de locações públicas em um aplicativo. Intitulado Filme SP, ele pode ser baixado na App Store ou na Google Play. Nele, os produtores têm acesso a informações e imagens de mais de 400 espaços que podem ser usados como cenário. A ferramenta possui um link direto para o sistema de solicitação de filmagens e traz o selo “Filme SP”, dedicado às locações mais amigáveis ao audiovisual. Outra funcionalidade é a seção “Filmado Aqui”, onde é possível ver algumas das gravações que passaram por uma determinada locação. 

Particularidades

Desde o início da operação, a São Paulo Film Commission oferece ao realizador prazo de resposta e tabela de descontos, duas funcionalidades inéditas em film commissions brasileiras. Para publicidade, o departamento tem até três dias úteis para responder a uma solicitação. Já os outros formatos, como séries e longas-metragens, são oito. Quanto ao valor pago pela locações, a redução pode ser de até 95% dependendo do formato da obra.

A produção que conta a história de vida do bispo Edir Macedo solicitou, até então, o maior número de locações em dois anos de São Paulo Film Commission: 92 lugares em seis meses de filmagem. Um dos destaques foi ter transformado as ruas do centro de São Paulo em espaços do Rio de Janeiro.

Filme estrelado por Leandro Hassum usou São Paulo como representação de Los Angeles. Destaque para uma sequência de ação gravada embaixo da Ponte Estaiada, na Marginal Pinheiros, na qual um moto salta sobre diversos carros.

Ponto alto das filmagens que passaram pela São Paulo Film Commission foi a cena de manifestação com fogo e coquetel molotov na frente do Theatro Municipal. A gravação no equipamento cultural, que representa a sede de um governo fictício no filme, envolveu 65 pessoas na equipe técnica, quatro atores do elenco principal e 300 figurantes.

· Sense8 

Da Netflix, Sense8 foi a primeira produção internacional prospectada e atendida pela São Paulo Film Commission. O pedido era especial e desafiador em termos de logística: gravar em um trio-elétrico na Avenida Paulista durante a Parada do Orgulho LGBT. A equipe de produção gravou parte das cenas no cartão postal paulistano e a outra parte na Avenida Chucri Zaidan, onde simulou o evento.

· Marighella

Longa-metragem dirigido pelo astro Wagner Moura sobre a trajetória do político assassinado pela luta contra a Ditadura Militar também usou e abusou dos cenários paulistanos. 43 locações foram solicitadas pela equipe do filme. Na lista, destaque para o Edifício Louveira (projetado pelo arquiteto Vilanova Artigas), a PUC de São Paulo e a rua em frente ao Solar da Marquesa de Santos.
