Nesta última terça-feira (07), foram encerradas as inscrições para os editais do Audiovisual da Lei Paulo Gustavo lançados pela Spcine. Ao todo, foram recebidas 2439 propostas para os 10 editais que contemplam linhas de apoio à produção, à capacitação, à pesquisa, à formação e à qualificação, além da realização de festivais, eventos e mostras do setor audiovisual.
A partir de agora, essas propostas serão analisadas pela comissão julgadora dos respectivos editais, formada por profissionais indicados por entidades representativas do setor audiovisual paulistano.
A previsão é de que a lista com os contemplados nos editais da Spcine referentes à Lei Paulo Gustavo seja divulgada na primeira quinzena de dezembro. No total, serão destinados aproximadamente R$ 49 milhões em recursos para o audiovisual paulistano.

A Lei Paulo Gustavo (Lei Complementar nº195, de 08 de julho de 2022) dispõe sobre ações emergenciais destinadas ao setor cultural, adotadas em decorrência dos efeitos econômicos e sociais da pandemia da Covid-19.
O que justifica o maior investimento da Lei Paulo Gustavo em recursos para o audiovisual é que, de acordo com as considerações do Plano Nacional de Cultura (PNC), o setor deve ser entendido como uma linguagem artística que engloba três dimensões, que são: cidadania, identidade e desenvolvimento.
De tal modo, o audiovisual amplia oportunidades de participação na vida do cidadão, enriquecendo seu repertório cultural. Além de se integrar as indústrias criativas que geram empregos diretos e indiretos às áreas do setor, favorecendo a economia do país.
Segundo a Pesquisa de Impacto Socioeconômico do Setor Audiovisual Paulistano, produzida pela Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas (FIPE) a pedido do Observatório Spcine, a produção audiovisual da capital paulista contribui com 22,34% do PIB Audiovisual do país.
